Selects whether repeater access is gained manually or automatically. This selection applies for the current Conventional Personality.

If this field is set to "Auto", and the MDC RTT Button Access field is also set to "Auto", then the MDC RTT Button Access field becomes invalid (see also the Invalid Fields Report). These two field settings are mutually exclusive. |
When Receive Only Personality field is "Disabled", and
when the Tx Voice / Signal Type field is "Non-ASTRO", and
when the

not a "DVRS" System

A PTT button-press automatically sends the selected Repeater Access Codeword defined for Repeater Access Button 1. The codeword then automatically precedes every user-initiated transmission for the current Conventional Personality. |

The Repeater Access Codeword is still sent in an "Automatic" mode for data transmissions such as Emergency, MDC Status, or Message transmissions. |
